Nineteen residents have put their hand up in the run for the local government election, with some trying out for another term.
Sixteen of those are running for just four councillor positions, which will spread the votes considerably.
Nominations for the local government elections closed yesterday, but unlike previous years, most candidates had their bid in well and truly before the deadline.
If you haven’t had a chance to pop around to the Council building to check out who’s in the run, we’ve brought them to you.
You’ll see below a list of the 3 mayoral candidates and the 16 councillor candidates, and we’d like to stress that these appear in no particular order.
In the run for Mayor:
Denis Cook
John Jones
Annie Liston
In the run for the councillor positions:

We can expect to see a lot of action in the coming weeks, but if you are interested in checking out what each of the candidates have to say, Charleville Plus More will be putting together our ‘Next 4 Report’ which comes out every Wednesday evening, after the weekly Regional Report.
In each of the ‘Next 4 Reports’, we’ll introduce the candidates, ask the big questions, and give them the opportunity to have their say as to why they’re in the run.
