Last Friday our local Coppers were on the run…not chasing crime…but none the less doing their bit for community.
Blackall Police Officer Senior Constable Scott Fayers participated in the Queen’s Baton Relay during its tour of regional Queensland.
Whilst normally busy in his official role, Senior Constable Fayers is no stranger to ‘giving’ for Blackall and the region.
He also volunteers a lot of his time as an Adopt-a-Cop, President of the Blackall Blue Light Committee and a trainer for the Blackall Magpies Football Club.
Senior Constable Fayers has also joined with other proactive stakeholders in actively promoting and encouraging awareness of the Australian Anti Ice Campaign.
In recognition of the high regard in which Senior Constable Fayers is held by the Blackall community, he was nominated to participate in the Queen’s baton relay.
