About Heinemanns Country Bakery Pty Ltd
Heinemanns started out in the early 70’s, as a one man show and has evolved into a dining and food experience. There are 35 staff and a trainee program for young ones between 12 and 18 to learn work ethics, kitchen operations and barista courses. Heinemanns is very family orientated and currently boasts 8 families that are employed working together.
This bakery encompasses a wholesale state of the art factory, a retail bakery and also a coffee shop and restaurant. The factory is currently undergoing an expansion program with the inclusion of a travel oven, extensions to the bread cooler and an automatic depanner. Wholesale bread is delivered daily to towns, cities and properties in a 300k radius, and more often further afield.
The retail bakery sells all the usual bread and pastries. There are two pastry cooks and two apprentices preparing everything from eclairs to extravagant cakes. The pies and sausage rolls are also award winning and the bread is a standout.
Coffee @ 84 is the restaurant and coffee shop attached to the retail bakery. The staff there prepare magnificent breakfasts and lunches and often surprise city cousins with extensive gluten free options. Heinemann’s coffee beans are roasted in house, producing a coffee that would stand against any coffee shop in a capital city. Even in outback Queensland you can get a coffee that comes basically from the tree to the cup.
