The State Government is looking for local companies to tender for school works in Charleville and Cunnamulla.
They’re seeking tenders for a new undercover area between blocks A and B at Charleville State High School to provide some shade for students.
There are also upgrades in store for Cunnamulla State School, with refurbishments planned for the science, home economics and art blocks.
“The refurbishment will include painting works, replacing blinds, lights, and floor coverings, and installing stainless steel benches with sinks and storage cabinets, Gas cooktops and electric ovens will also be installed in the home economics classroom.”
Minister for Housing and Public Works Mick de Brenni says they want locals to put their hand up to do the work.
“I’d encourage local businesses to get involved.”
The Charleville SHS project is being funded as part of the $180 million Significant Regional Infrastructure Projects Program, designed to fast-track key economic and social infrastructure projects throughout regional Queensland.
This project is open to any company that’s previously pre-qualified under the PQC system, so I’d encourage any locals who are on the PQC list to tender.”
