When the Police get called in you know things are getting serious and that’s what’s happened as we count down for this weekends’ Annual Injune Golden Bit Campdraft.
Senior Constable Josh Rolfe says the traffic on the highway was very patient and considerate as the herd of cattle walked across the road.
“The cattle showed some great road sense looking right, then left and right again before crossing the road. The sight of this many cattle on the road caught the attention of some travellers who pulled up to take some happy snaps of the cattle.”
The event runs from Friday, April 21 through to Sunday, April 23 and will see some top quality campdrafting action, as well as entertainment on Saturday night.
Injune Police would like to remind everyone attending this event that they too will be out and about on the road targeting the Fatal Five.
“Police have been advised that there will be a courtesy bus running to transport locals home and there is camping available at the event. This means there is no excuse to be caught drink driving.”
Injune Police encourage everyone to have a great weekend and enjoy themselves. They also wish all the competitors the best of luck whilst competing at this year’s event.
