Last Saturday we saw a major operation take place in the streets of Cunnamulla.
It was, as local Police describe, “Operation Rudolph” and it was handled with precision, as all local emergency services turned out for the key mission – to bring goodwill and cheer to all as they blitzed the streets of Cunnamulla.
The Cunnamulla Police joined forces with Queensland Ambulance, Queensland Health, Queensland Fire and Emergency Services, and the Paroo Shire Council to cruise the streets of Cunnamulla handing out presents to those kids willing to brave the 40 plus degree temperatures.
Santa joined them us for the day, only just surviving the heat. The parade made its way through the streets, coming to its end at the Shire Hall for the annual town Christmas Celebrations.
Senior Constable Anthony Bradbury says it proved a hugely successful operation!!
“For the second now, the parade has made plenty of noise and Santa has not disappointed spreading his jolly cheer to all.”
“We would like to thank all the community and the local businesses for their support, making this parade the success it was.”
