That’s what South West Hospital and Health Board members are asking Charelvillians to do next week when they visit the town.
The board’s jam-packed schedule includes a board meeting and annual staff awards on Monday 23 October, a hospital and health service Community Advisory Network (CAN) forum on Tuesday 24 October and a community meeting on Wednesday 25 October.
Board Chair Jim McGowan says that despite the packed Programme he’s keen to hear first-hand about what matters most to locals in regard to the delivery of excellent health care.
“Wednesday’s community meeting will be an open forum for residents to come along and share their thoughts on how they believe the health service is operating in Charleville and neighbouring towns.”
“I encourage anyone interested to attend between 9 am and 11 am on Wednesday at the Charleville Town Hall and speak to myself and my fellow board members, who are all committed to improving health outcomes in the South West.”
Mr McGowan says he was looking forward to receiving feedback from members of the South West HHS CAN’s at their annual forum.
“It will be fantastic to have CAN Chairs from across the South West converge on Charleville for their yearly meeting. The forum is bringing together like-minded volunteers who are dedicated to improving their local health facilities by providing feedback and fresh ideas on a broad range of health topics.”
“CAN members are a voice for their communities, assisting the health service to understand local needs, which improves service delivery across the South West HHS.”
Another highlight of their Charleville itinerary will be the South West HHS Staff Excellence Awards.
“This will be my first awards ceremony as Board Chair and I am looking forward to congratulating the inspiring staff members achieving outstanding goals.”
Award winners receive $2,000 for education or professional development.
Deputy Board Chair, Karen Tully says she’s looking forward to celebrating staff success in her home-town.
“I think it’s brilliant to have the South West HHS coming together in Charleville for the staff awards and I congratulate all who have been nominated for their dedication to their profession.”
