As the prime minister Malcolm Turnbull continues his Drought Listening Tour in the west, he and federal member David Littleproud took time out to meet students of local Charleville schools today.
It was an especially exciting moment for the school leaders of St Marys School, pictured above at the Murweh Shire Chambers with Mr Turnbull and Mr Littleproud.
St Marys School principal, Mr Michael Ward also met with the Prime Minister and said.
“Its a great chance for our students to meet the people tasked with making decisions about the future right here in our own part of the country.”
The Prime Minister has promised he will take the scores-long issues list of concerns to the Federal Cabinet, where a discussion can be had on the best way to tackle the big dry.
“We’re not making too many announcements on this trip. The main thing is to listen and get all the feedback,” he said.
