Small Town Culture, a music and film collaboration run by Josh Arnold, is coming to our towns next week, and he wants our communities to get involved.
Charleville, Cunnamulla, Thargomindah and Quilpie have all been chosen to participate in a music video for the song ‘Get Ready’ which will be seen on YouTube and Imparjia.
‘Get Ready’ is song about preparing outback Queensland for fire and floods and by involving local faces in the video clip, we can be sure that local people are listening to the message.
So how can you get involved in this awesome event?!
Well it’s easy, all you have to do is learn the lyrics to the Chorus and turn up on time to the following locations:
CUNNAMULLA – 2:30pm Sunday 31st Jan at the Cunnamulla Fella Statue
THARGOMINDAH – 8:00am Monday 1st Feb at the new town sign on the highway
QUILPIE – 4:30pm Monday 1st Feb outside the information centre
CHARLEVILLE – 9:30am Tuesday 2nd Feb outside the Post Office
And the lyrics are:
Get Ready, for the fire and the flood
Get Ready, have you done enough
Get Ready, are you Ready

Simple isn’t it! And how cool that you get to be a part of a Music Video that will be viewed by people across Australia – and even the world!
So everyone get practicing, and put the dates and times in your calendars. This is something we don’t want to miss!
